What can I say about this story that isn't already known?? Jericho is not only a wonderful writer, but a beautiful person as well. "When Eternity Lies in the Balance" is a major undertaking that began with one scene being played out in her mind, and the fact she wanted Spike to be tortured in Heaven. But from these ideas, she crafted such a beautiful tale of drama, action, adventure, deep emotions, exotic settings, and even a bubbly kid who was much more than she seemed to be. I had a tough time deciding the award for this story, but seeing as how my heart got dragged through the sheet metal along with Spike, I had to go with romance (and they say romance is dead...)
