Vampire Dust Awards
Because
I really love reading, I decided to do something I've never done before. I leave
feedback on the majority of stories my eyes consume, however I noticed there's
nothing like getting an award for something you put your heart and soul into.
Now, admittidly, "hearts" and "souls" don't usually apply
to vampires, however, like Angel and Spike, there's an exception to every rule.
So, if you think there's a story out there on the net worth my attention, please
feel free to bring it to my attention! If it's good, I may just ask to host
it. And if it's really good, I'll give it an award. So what're the rules and
what not? Glad you asked...
General Rules for All Awards:
1- MUST be a BtVS (or related) fanfic. No other series / genre is allowed.
2- The story in question has to blow my mind away. This isn't a hard thing to
do, however this means I choose who gets what and when if at all. It's awarded
to you, not bought.
3- It doesn't have to be hosted on my site, however if I'm awarding you something,
it means I really loved it and I would be honoured to host it here as well.
4- No flaming myself or the authors for my choices. I may have different opinions
about a story than you, so deal with it. This is not a contest, it's all for
fun.
5- To enter, send me suggestions on
what to read. Or sign my guestbook
to post suggestion.
6- My decisions are final. I decide who gets what award.
7- Only completed stories are eligible for Vampire Dust awards.

spelling and grammer (yes, I count that). We all know Giles has a pretty impressive
collection for a "stuffy British guy," so if I find your story good
enough that even he would take time out of researching demons to read it, you

¤ Since I'm an emotional sap, whenever I read I generally find comfort in angsty stuff. So, if I feel there's a truly heart wrenching "I want to reach through the words and comfort those poor souls" type of story, the author shall get the award that shows they really know how to make people cry. Properly stated...

Now, since I literally stated I'm a romantic freak, I made a special award just
for those stories that spew sugary goodness. Romance so thick that it makes
you sighing and saying "Awwwww!" at odd hours of the morning when
your roommate is trying to sleep resulting in a possible head injury if you
keep it up. Romance abounds in fiction, so here's a separate but lovely award
for those romantics...

¤ This is a very special award. Romance and Passion are two different entities, though they are both derived from the base emotion of love. Buffy and Spike are all about the Passion, and I felt it only prudent to create an award for the stories that take the passionate feelings of these two highly emotional people and raise them through the roof! While it may derive from love, passion is something that consumes... like a flame. This award is ONLY for Buffy and Spike centered passion.

¤ Spike is a monster and a man. People, including myself, sometimes forget this fact of nature. Beneath it all, chip or no chip, love or hate, soulful or soulless, Spike is still the bad-ass we met in Season Two that has killed two slayers. Killing one Slayer alone is hard, two is nearly impossible! So, for those stories that show the perfect balance of the Man and the Monster, I will give you this award...
